In cooperation with Rusk Show Cattle, of Dundas, IL, and Neal Cattle Co of Oaktown, IN, we offer each year, on the last Sunday in October, the entire top end of our calves. Selling approximately 25 heifers and steers, a select group of production females and herd bull prospects to help our customers prosper from the genetics we have accumulated and produced.
Our future show ladies, Allison and Laney, are taking an interest in the operation. They are growing and learning, not only from us, but from our friends and family that share the same enthusiasm of farm life that we do. It
is an exciting time in our lives as they begin to be more and more active in the day to day function of their family operation. Cattle sales are an important part of our focus every day. We have the opportunity to manage great sales each year such as the Mid America Simmental Sale, in Springfield, IL and The Lone Star Crown Event for the Schrick family in Millsap, TX. I also have the honor of being the auctioneer for such distinguished bull and production sales as Kramer Angus at Farina, IL and Hamilton Angus at Ava, IL. Cattle are not the only focus at Gold Buckle. We host a club pig sale each spring for Ogle/Tabbert here at the show barn. We are involved in auction business specializing real estate, household and farm machinery auctions. Gold Buckle Concessions is also an important part of our business, offering concessions and catering for many events and sales in the local area. No matter what facet of our operation interests you. We look forward to assisting your family or business with the goal of friendship, fellowship, and profit.
